Everything tends to tear at my soul
I move forward with my life's goal
Just to be knocked down and miserable
I push past the obstacle
Something always crushes my progress


Time after time
I lose what was once mine
Over and over again
Beaten down and broken
Too many people lack dignity
The invidious people torment me
I work for my dreams arduously
I want to be free


One knife, two knives, three knives, four
They slammed my dignity with the door
Broken down and crawling on the floor

I want to find a job, to brighten my future
I want to be financially secure
No more suffering alone and unsure
