(Part 17) The Shadow Of The Ice Kingdom

Part 17: Heaven's Guardians        Wallace visits the different sections of Sarlia's realm, she explains, "This is where the souls go to be judged. The good souls and chosen warriors by Valcia rest. The chosen warriors get to keep their bodies and are escorted to the champion's hall. That is where you will go after you die." Wallace and Sarlia enter the stadium from their last sparring session. They enter the middle of the stadium battlegrounds, "Wallace, you will have to challenge three guardians. The gargoyles, the gryphon, and the mightiest guardian of heaven, the chimera. The gargoyles are strong through numbers but weak by themselves. The gryphon flies through the skies and maintains the policing of the different sections. The chimera protects the warriors entrance, it challenges any warrior before they can enter. The chimera never fights to its full potential, but if it deems the warrior to be strong enough, it will accept them into the warriors' Co

The Shadow Of The Ice Kingdom -- Part 13: Mana Harvesting --             Brett stands before Malthus. Malthus commands, "Brett, I want you to continue absorbing the mana out of the worthless beings. You gained a lot of mana from the plants and animals surrounding the villages and forests. I want you to start harvesting your own peasants' mana too. I want you to gain enough mana to crush Wallace and Sam! I can't grant a straight increase of mana into you, it's not within my abilities, that's Arkana's jurisdiction, but since I told you that all life forms have mana inside of them. You have gathered up enough to stay on even ground as the other champions. I can gradually increase the weakling's Mana the same way I granted you a little bit of my own to take over the kingdom; although, unlike you, it may kill them. Brett, if need be absorb the mana out of the peasants before they explode. You must succeed, at all costs!" Malthus teleports Brett back to th

The Shadow Of The Ice Kingdom Part 12: New King Of Vilvek --           A royal guard hands twelve bounties to the king of Vilvek, the king smiles, "So the master hunter, butcher and restaurant owner is wanted for murdering several royal rulers across three kingdoms. Sam Belthor's home is located near the ocean on the outskirts of our lands. His wife designs clothing for the wealthy and peasants. He does really well for an assassin. It states his bounties from the three kingdoms is one million for each bounty. His wife and children are worth five hundred thousand each. I want my soldiers to apprehend them right away!" The guards surround Sam's house, six guards kick open the door and drag out the woman and her three children. They are thrown into the dungeon below the castle courtyard. The king approaches the bars of the cell, "Wow, you are one beautiful woman. I am not going to kill you or your children. When Sam arrives at the house, he will be much easier to

The Shadow Of The Ice Kingdom - Part 10: Arkana's Superior Power -       With a quick swipe of the hand, Arkana forced the air around him to blast Sam across the training hall, "Good you stood back up. Now, your turn to use the power of wind." Sam closed his eyes and whispered to himself, "I have the mana within me, I just need to focus on the image and direction of where I want to move the air around me towards." Arkana replies, "Yes, but make sure you control the amount of mana being released. Mana interacts with the natural laws of physics. Mana is something that is inside every living cell, no matter the organism. Some beings have greater mana storage, but others lack enough to manifest it, they practically have near zero mana. Your home planet lacks enough mana; although, I granted you enough mana to defeat even my brothers. Hahahahahaha!" He smiles, "You just need to learn how to control it. Over time you will be able to use more and more po

The Shadow Of The Ice Kingdom - Part 9: The Champions Of The Gods --       Servants place plates of food and drinks on a massive table as six of the gods sat at the table. A gorgeous brunette goddess asks, "Arkana, are you going to choose a champion to fight our brothers'?" Arkana smiles, "I chose mine a long time ago. I knew Malthus's intentions from the start. He complains about his position, even though it fits his personality. Malthus is an open book. Speaking of books, my warrior is about to stumble across the first gift I created for'em." The bright yellow eyes of the gods focus with intense intrigue as the image of a man changing the diaper of his newborn baby daughter is projected inside of a crystal ball that is five feet in diameter. A light brown haired goddess asks, "Has anyone else decided to join the bet and picked, or are going to pick a champion too?" Breaking the silence she continues, "I also have a champion. Mine is goin

Lost In The Dark: (PART 4) The Nescient Mist

Lost In The Dark By Vincent Fitch Part 4 : The Nescient Mist     The landscape is consumed by a humid mist. The mist is thick and the humidity makes it feel as if you are sweating; though you are not. The water vapor began to make your skin feel sticky and hot. The mist feels as if you are in a sauna. It is relaxing and soothing. You feel comfortable with being in the steam's mist. You walk around the environment unable to see inches in front of your face. It doesn't bother you; in fact nothing seems to be able to make you feel upset or have any form of emotions. You are feeling tranquility and insouciance. No worries, no fears, no taunting voices, no mysterious advisors harassing. Just you, all alone, blinded by the mist, and the soothing steam’s humidity. You walk around with your head held high and strutting like you know where you are going, but in truth, you have no idea what lies ahead of your own face. Your eyes can't see past a few inches from you. You t
